- 1 lb mild Italian sausage, casings removed, cooked and drained
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 7 cups cabbage, chopped
- 3 28oz cans diced tomatoes + 1 can water
- 2 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- In large pot, stir together all ingredients
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover and reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour
- Remove bay leaf before serving
